It’s a beautiful thing when effective ingredients come at reasonable prices.  That is exactly what the stunning Salma Hayek has claimed to do with her new skin care line, Nuance. Hayek partnered with CVS to develop the ambitious collection, sold exclusively at the US chain. Nuance seems to dabble in everything from makeup, skin care (both face and body), to hair care! Inspired by Hayek’s Mexican heritage, the Nuance collection boasts a proprietary formula that blends exotic and ancient ingredients with modern science, delivering the most effective results.

The Nuance Salma Hayek collection embodies Salma’s family heritage. The products represent the fusion of her grandmother’s cosmetology training with her own vision of beauty, shaped by years of travel around the world. Nuance Salma Hayek was conceived for women who seek high-quality, efficacious beauty products customized to address their personal skincare, body care, haircare and cosmetic needs.

Ms. Hayek really believes her products do what they claim to do. According to her, she was right there on the beauty frontlines with a heavy hand in the development of Nuance.

When asked about celebrities who sign their names to brands without getting involved, Hayek looks offended and shakes her head. “No, chica. I’ve been working on this for years. I burn my face, my eyes, trying this (expletive). I have very sensitive skin. The stuff is really, really, really good.”

Growing up in Mexico, Hayek, 44, listened and learned as her grandmother, an aesthetician, explored and experimented with the wonders of local plants and herbs. Since then, she says, she has tried everything — the $1,000 face creams promising miracle results, and their more humble counterparts. Her line ranges from $2.99 to $19.99.

“My grandmother used to make her creams. Some of the creams were super-cheap, but they were so efficient,” she says. “I knew there was a way of making extraordinary products that make a difference, without spending that kind of money.” (Read more)

Although there are only a few so far, reviews on CVS’s website reveal that the products are rating high with consumers. I like that there are so many products to choose from! I’m excited to try a little of everything, including:
