Not more than a couple of weeks after proposing that argan oil may be the next “it” ingredient in skin and hair care, I find that my prediction may be dated. Skin care trends seem to have the pace of fashion trends. Gladiator sandals? Please, girl, those are so last summer. While I’m not willing to concede that argan oil is so yesterday, I’m excited to see Read more…
It’s a beautiful thing when effective ingredients come at reasonable prices. That is exactly what the stunning Salma Hayek has claimed to do with her new skin care line, Nuance. Hayek partnered with CVS to develop the ambitious collection, sold exclusively at the US chain. Nuance seems to dabble in everything from makeup, skin care (both face and body), to hair care! Inspired by Hayek’s Mexican heritage, the Nuance collection boasts a proprietary formula that blends exotic and ancient ingredients with modern science, delivering the most effective results. They say that eyes are the windows to the soul. Unfortunately, they are one of the first things to show signs of aging. The last thing you want to do is tug at and rub the delicate skin around the eyes when you’re removing your eye makeup. And as someone who loves her waterproof mascara, I have yet to find a great eye makeup remover (including from a cleanser) on the market. Problem solving can be a really fun and challenging activity when it comes to something like Sudoku. When it comes to our skin problems though, most of us just want a straight forward solution. The common problem that I come across, however, is that most of us don’t know our skin types all that well, let alone know which products and treatments to use to address our skin issues. Fortunately, technology has provided an answer with the VISIA™ Digital Skin Analysis. Read more…
As touched on in my last post, I love exclusive deals and discounts. I usually like to keep these sales on the DL, but can you blame me? Many of us don’t want others to have the same things that we do. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve approached a woman to ask where she got her dress or her shoes to have her say, “Um, I don’t remember.” Uh huh, likely story. But it’s cool; I get it. Moreover, when you know there are limited quantities, you definitely Read more…
