While terms like metrosexual and manscaping have have become quite common in our regular vernacular, it appears men are still standoffish when it comes to what they still believe to be part of a woman’s routine.  Well, men, that stereotype is so 2010 – how about getting current with 2011, please?  It’s possible to be beautiful and oh-so-rugged; just look at David Beckham. (Hello!)  It’s the perfect time for you start blending your own beauty concoctions of exfoliants, serums and moisturizers.  Just don’t pull a Zac Efron and steal our makeup bags.

Men of America, perhaps you missed the memo, but 2010 was supposed to be the year your grooming ritual was going to expand beyond the morning shave. A decade and a half beyond the advent of the metrosexual in the mid-’90s, graying baby boomers were supposed to lead the charge by embracing anti-aging serums, with the men and boys of generations X and Y finally adopting a skin-care regimen that consisted of something more than a wet washcloth and a bar of Ivory soap. Trend analysts forecast it. The grooming industry seized the opportunity, and the last year and a half has seen new gender-specific versions of existing products – Dove Men + Care line, Nivea for Men, Neutrogena Men and even Vaseline Men – hit store shelves. In addition, Procter & Gamble’s Gillette brand expanded beyond shaving into scrubs, moisturizers and face washes.

And how did men respond? Read more.

Thanks, Sinta! Definitely – great skin comes from taking good care of it, not from masking it! I haven’t worn foundation in more than 5 years; I rely on my products to keep my skin looking good. Skin care is for EVERYONE, and certain myths and stereotypes need to be broken down in order to make that connection between individuals and the right products for their skin needs and life styles. (Your man has good taste! Haha.)

I completely agree and I just wanted to say that I really like your blog. Is it Wordpress based?
